About Us
ADP Apiary is one of India’s leading beekeeping organizations, dedicated to sustainable apiculture and empowering communities through education, innovation, and livelihood creation.
We have trained over 2,00,000 people in beekeeping across all districts and taluks of Tamil Nadu, including farmers, students, tribal communities, and officials from agriculture, forest, and horticulture departments.
Currently maintaining up 20,000 active bee colonies and supply up to 70,000 bee boxes with live colonies when required, ADP Apiary stands as Tamil Nadu’s only company with its own sawmill and R&D facility for manufacturing bee boxes, stainless steel honey extractors, and honey products using advanced in-house technology.
Our founder played a key national role in securing ₹500 crore in government subsidies for beekeepers through the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) and the National Bee Board, traveling across Nagaland, Kashmir, and Delhi to represent the real needs of farmers.
We actively conduct awareness and training programs for schools, colleges, corporates, and social welfare organizations, and promote beekeeping through TV, newspapers, and social media.
Today, ADP Apiary employs over 100 professionals and provides income opportunities to 10,000+ individuals, strengthening rural livelihoods and advancing environmental sustainability.

- Founder’s Story – Mr. Dhandayuthapani
Mr. Dhandayuthapani, the visionary behind ADP Apiary, was born in 1979 in Sivagiri, Erode district, into a humble agricultural family. His father, a dedicated farmer, also maintained a few bee boxes on their farmland. This early exposure planted the first seeds of curiosity in young Dhandayuthapani’s mind.
By the age of 10, he had developed an extraordinary fascination for honeybees — how they collect nectar, how they produce honey, and how they work together inside a hive. While other children spent school holidays playing, he spent his days accompanying villagers who extracted raw forest honey.
He watched them closely, eager to understand every detail of the process and the behavior of bees in their natural habitat.
After completing his B.Com. degree in the year 2000, he decided to follow his passion wholeheartedly. He underwent formal beekeeping training in Erode district and continued to learn from various beekeeping experts across India.
He traveled extensively, met experienced beekeepers, visited large apiaries, and absorbed every piece of knowledge he could. To this day, he remains a continuous learner—actively participating in seminars, workshops, and webinars to stay updated on the latest innovations in apiculture.
What began as a childhood curiosity has now grown into more than 35 years of dedicated experience in beekeeping.
From starting with just one bee box, Mr. Dhandayuthapani has built ADP Apiary into one of the region’s most respected beekeeping enterprises. Today, he manages up to 20,000 bee boxes, including thousands placed on contract across more than 5,050 farming units. Through these units, he produces high-quality honey and a variety of natural honey products.
