Bee hive Box:
Beehive is a structure, where honey bees live and raise their young ones. Bee hive box is wooden with the parts namely; (i) the bottom board at the base, (ii) the outer cover / lid at the top, (iii) the honey super and (iv) Brood boxes in the middle, which contain frames for building the comb.
Bee colonies:
A complete, living social unit of honey bees, Apis cerana indica is available for purchase, typically for establishing new apiaries, increasing their existing stock, or replacing lost colonies.
A bee colony consists of (i) A queen bee, (ii) Thousands of Worker bees, (iii) Brood in combs – Eggs, larvae and pupae in various stages of development (iv) Enough food stores – honey and pollen to sustain the colony (v) Hundreds of drones.
